Grambling All-American running back/kick returner Martez Carter has more recently received a lot of buzz for the upcoming NFL Draft. Better late than never.
The former collegiate basketball player at Wiley College took an interesting path to Grambling and put in the work to get to this point. He is drawing comparisons to former North Carolina A&T star running back Tarik Cohen who was drafted in the fourth round by the Bears last year and was selected to this year’s Pro Bowl as a rookie.
In his four years at Grambling where he started out his first season as a running back. Carter rushed for 2,317 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also recorded eight receiving touchdowns and returned three kickoffs for touchdowns.
Carter sat down with BOXTOROW host Donal Ware to talk about how he made it from Monroe, La. to Grambling and on the verge of the National Football League.
