Virginia Union Running Back Tabyus Taylor 6-0, 225, Junior, Hopewell, Va. Taylor carried the ball 25 times for for 159 yards, caught two passes for 38 yards and returned a kickoff 58 yards in the Panthers 36-17 victory over Hampton. Taylor registered 255 multi-purpose yards in the game. Taylor played quarterback at Hopewell High School

Marrow named BOXTOROW Division I Player of the Year, leads All-America Team
As the Final Four approaches, BOXTOROW releases its 11th annual Division I men’s college basketball All-America teams. Hampton guard Jermaine Marrow has been named BOXTOROW National Player of the Year. Marrow, a junior from Newport News, Va., is ranked eighth in Division I in scoring, averaging 24.4 points per game. He also averaged 4.9 assists
BOXTOROW National Player of the Week: Ashley Bates
Hampton Guard Ashley Bates 5-7, Jr., Hopkins, Minn. Averaged 26 points, 5.0 steals and 3.0 rebounds last week for the Lady Pirates. She poured in a career high 34 points on 12-of-20 shooting, seven steals, six rebounds and three assists in the Lady Pirates 88-63 victory over Winthrop on senior day at the Convocation Center.
