Benedict defeated Kentucky State and continues to hold the top spot in the HBCU Division II Coaches Poll powered by BOXTOROW which was released on Tuesday. The Tigers received all but one first place vote.

Virginia State’s loss to Elizabeth City State caused No. 2 Virginia Union No. 3 Miles and No. 4 Fayetteville State – all who won – to move up one spot from last week. The Trojans stopped three spots to No. 5.

No. 6 Fort Valley State and No. 7 Tuskegee also moved up one spot. With Edward Waters’ victory over Albany State, the EWU Tigers are No. 9 this week and are in the poll for the first time ever.
