Media Poll Week 12

BOXTOROW Polls: Jackson State remains No. 1; three news teams enter

For the fourth straight week the Jackson State Tigers are No. 1 in HBCU football as the BOXTOROW Coaches and Media Polls were released on Monday. JSU received all but one first place vote.

In the coaches poll, the biggest jump was made by Tennessee State, moving up four spots to No. 6 after the Tigers 28-0 victory over Eastern Illinois. North Carolina A&T plunged from the No. 5 spot to No. 9 after its loss to Hampton. The South Carolina State Bulldogs reenter the poll at No. 10.

In the media poll, No. 8 Fayetteville State and No. 9 Tennessee State entered the poll for the first time this season.

The BOXTOROW HBCU FCS coaches and media polls are administered by FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW. The coaches poll, in its 12th year is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches and the media poll, in its 14th year, is voted on by media members around the country who cover HBCU football.
