BOXTOROW Polls: Alabama A&M earns big victory, remains No. 1 in HBCU football

The Alabama A&M Bulldogs once again remained the No. 1 team in HBCU football as both the BOXTOROW Coaches and Media Polls were released on Monday. The Bulldogs are coming off a 52-43 victory over Jackson State on Saturday and received 14 first place votes in the coaches poll, four more than last week.

The order of the media poll remained the same from last week.

Upcoming games in Week 9 that could influence next week’s polls include No. 3 Southern taking on Grambling in Shreveport, La., No. 2 Arkansas-Pine Bluff hosting No. 4 Prairie View A&M, and No. 1 Alabama A&M playing Alabama State in Birmingham.

The BOXTOROW HBCU FCS Coaches Poll, and the BOXTOROW Media Poll is administered by FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW. The coaches poll, in its 12th year is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches. The media poll, in its 14th year, is voted on by media members around the country who cover HBCU football.
