Gold Rush’s Xavier Reaves is HBCU National Player of the Week. He averaged 15.0 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game, while shooting 67 percent from the field in helping lead the Gold Rush to the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament championship. In the championship game against LSU-Shreveport, he scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, had two steals, and made 8-of-12 field goals. Reaves was named tournament MVP.

Reaves is averaging 13.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, but in the last nine games to help the Gold Rush push to the championship, he averaged 15.6 points, and 9.6 rebounds. He was named first team All-RRAC.
