HBCU National Player of the Week: Emanuel Wilson

6-1, 220, Redshirt-Junior, Charlotte, N.C.

Carried the ball 28 times for 221 yards, averaged 7.9 yards per carry, and three touchdowns as Fort Valley State defeated Albany State 31-21 in the Fountain City Classic. The win helped propel the Wildcats into the No. 7 spot in the Division II regional rankings.

Wilson began his career at Johnson C. Smith where he rushed for 1,040 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was second in the CIAA in rushing yards per game (104.0) and rushing touchdowns. This season he is sixth in Division II in rushing yards (1,371) and tied for seventh in rushing touchdowns (17).
