HBCU D2 Coaches Poll: Benedict remains undefeated, unanimous No. 1

Benedict defeated Allen 54-21 to cap off a perfect 10-0 regular season and was unanimously voted No. 1 in The HBCU Division II Coaches Poll powered by BOXTOROW for the second straight week.

Benedict will face off against No. 5 Tuskegee in the SIAC championship game on Saturday. Tuskegee has won eight straight games. Fort Valley State mad the most significant jump – from No. 7 last week to No. 4 – after defeating No. 7 Albany State in the Fountain City Classic in Columbus, GA. The Golden Rams were No. 3 last week.

In another key showdown this Saturday No. 3 Fayetteville State will face No. 6 Chowan in the CIAA championship game.
