Alcorn State defensive back Javen Morrison 5-10, 160, Junior, Corinth, Miss. Morrison recorded two interceptions and returned them for 59 yards, his first interceptions set up a touchdown as the Braves defeated Texas Southern 27-15. Morrison also recorded two solo tackles in the game.

Morehouse Quarterback Michael Sims 6-3, 185, Soph., Detroit, Mich. Sims completed 13-of-23 passes for 243 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions as the Maroon Tigers defeated Lane 42-20.
