Winston-Salem State Guard Robert Colon

Averaged 19 points, 2.3 steals, and 2.3 rebounds in three CIAA Tournament victories for the Rams last week as WSSU won its first CIAA Tournament championship since 2012, defeating Fayetteville State 63-62 in the championship game. In the championship game, Colon scored 25 points and was 7-of-8 from the free throw line including hitting three free throws with the Rams trailing 62-60 with four seconds remaining.
Colon has been one of the best players in the CIAA over his four years, earning All-CIAA honors the last two years and earning CIAA Rookie of the Year honors in 2016-17. He was named to the BOXTOROW All-America second team in 2017 and 2019. He is currently seventh all-time in scoring in WSSU history (1,724).
