BOXTOROW National Player of the Week: Jermaine Marrow

Hampton Guard Jermaine Marrow
6-0, Senior, Newport News. Va.

Averaged 28 points, 6.5 assists, and 3.0 rebounds in two wins for the Pirates over Gardner-Webb and Winthrop last week. He scored 33 points, handed out seven assists and had two steals in the victory over Gardner-Webb. Marrow is the reigning BOXTOROW Division I Player of the Year.

Marrow leads the Big South in scoring (23.9), assists (6.3), and minutes (37.4).

Did you know?
– Marrow is the only player in Division I men’s basketball that is ranked in the top 20 in scoring (3rd) and assists per game (18th).

  • This season he surpassed Pirate great Rick Mahorn as the all-time leading scorer in Hampton basketball history. Marrow has currently scored 2,522 points
  • Needs 259 points to break the all-time state of Virginia mark of 2,780 points held by Roanoke’s Frankie Allen
