TSU Quarterback Draylen Ellis

Amassed 253 yards of total offense, completing 20-of-33 passes for 228 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, and rushing three times for 25 yards in the Tigers’ 41-28 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the Southern Heritage Classic in Memphis. Ellis through touchdown passes of 22, 30, and 12 yards on three straight possessions in the second quarter to help open a big lead for the Tigers.
Ellis transferred from Austin Peay and in 2020 he was the OVC Freshman of the Year. In 2021 he led the OVC in passing touchdowns (19), passing yards (2,625), and total offense per game (268.5). He has thrown for 3,594 yards in his Tigers career with 20 touchdowns and has rushed for another nine.
