Morehouse Running Back Santo Dunn 5-7, 185, Soph., Griffin, Ga. Dunn carried the ball 18 times for 125 yards and three touchdowns including two in overtime and the game-winner from 14 yards as the Maroon Tigers defeated Tuskegee 30-24 in three overtimes. Dunn accounted for 169 all-purpose yards in the game. Dunn leads the SIAC
BOXTOROW National Player of the Week: Michael Sims
Morehouse Quarterback Michael Sims 6-3, 185, Soph., Detroit, Mich. Sims completed 13-of-23 passes for 243 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions as the Maroon Tigers defeated Lane 42-20. The Maroon Tigers are now 2-0 on the season and Sims has thrown for 434 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions.

The Maroon Tigers went 3-7 in 2016, yet had a top 10 defense in Division II. A good part of the defense returns led by first team All-SIAC linebacker David Smith. Offense was an issue in 2016 and Donal Ware explains if it will be better in 2017.
