The Bears were 3-8 overall, 3-5 in MEAC play in 2016. Not good. The Bears were also ineligible for the MEAC championship and post season play because of APR issues. Fast forward less than a year and the Bears are in good standing with the NCAA and were able to resume spring practice and are postseason eligible. They also have a stud transfer quarterback coming in in Elijah Stanley who is 6-7, 245. He transferred from Tyler Junior College and before that played as a redshirt freshman at Mississippi State. Also returning is Herb Walker, Jr. who was injured after four games last year and was ineligible in 2015, after leading the MEAC in rushing yards. Is it enough to put the Bears in contention in 2017. Host Donal Ware explains.
