The North Carolina A&T Aggies went on the road and defeated Florida A&M 31-20 and remain undefeated and No. 1 in both the BOXTOROW Coaches and Media Polls.

In the coaches poll, Nos. 2 – 4 remained unchanged as Grambling had a bye and North Carolina Central and Alcorn State won home games. Tennessee State fell to Austin Peay and fell out of the top five to No. 6 this week, making room for Hampton to take over the No. 5 spot after defeating Norfolk State 16-14 in the Battle of the Bay.

Meanwhile in the media poll, Virginia State remains undefeated and climbed into the top five after defeating previously unbeaten Bowie State. It caused more shakeup in the poll as Alcorn State moved up one spot to No. 4, while the Bulldogs dropped to No. 6.

The BOXTOROW HBCU FCS coaches poll and the media poll are administered by FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW.  The coaches poll is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches and the media poll is voted on by media members around the country who cover HBCU football.
