North Carolina A&T passed the second of its MEAC tests defeating Norfolk State 35-0 Thursday night in a nationally televised game and retained the No. 1 spots in both the BOXTOROW Coaches and Media Polls.

The Aggies received all of the first-place votes in the coaches poll, while Grambling, who had a bye week, easily retained its No. 2 position.  Despite falling to nationally ranked and fellow OVC foe Eastern Illinois 35-34 and suffering its first loss of the season, Tennessee State remained at No. 3, but is now tied with North Carolina Central who squeaked by Florida A&M 17-13 in Durham on Saturday.

In the media poll, Grambling picked up an extra first-place vote this week to hold strong to its No. 2 spot.  Tuskegee moved up to No. 3, its highest ranking since finishing No. 4 in the final poll of 2009.

The BOXTOROW HBCU FCS coaches poll and the media poll are administered by FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW.  The coaches poll is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches and the media poll is voted on by media members around the country who cover HBCU football.
