A college football Saturday that only produced three wins for teams in the BOXTOROW Coaches Poll, caused some movement, but all of the teams from the previous week remained in the poll.

North Carolina A&T remained a unanimous No. 1 after beating Gardner-Webb 45-6.

Tennessee State and Bethune-Cookman both moved up to sports to No. 2 and No. 7, respectively. The Tigers didn’t play the Southern Heritage Classic against Jackson State due to inclement weather, while Bethune-Cookman overwhelmed Virginia-Lynchburg 79-16. Alcorn State was the only other team to win, defeating Louisiana College 78-0 and is tied for No. 5 with Howard.

In the media poll, Alcorn State and North Carolina Central both re-entered the poll at No. 7 and No. 9, respectively.

The BOXTOROW HBCU FCS coaches poll and the media poll is administered by FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW.  The coaches poll is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches and the media poll is voted on by media members around the country who cover HBCU football.
