Media Poll Week 12

BOXTOROW Polls: Polls remain steady as Aggies remain No. 1 in HBCU football; Bowie State still undefeated

The top five teams remained the same and there was not a lot of significant movement overall in the BOXTOROW Coaches and Media Polls.

In the coaches poll, all top five teams – North Carolina A&T, Bethune-Cookman, Alcorn State, Florida A&M, and South Carolina State – won respective games on Saturday. Southern and Prairie View A&M were idle but retained the No. 6 and No. 7 spots, respectively. The two will meet in Baton Rouge, La. on Saturday. No. 10 Hampton won its first Big South game ever defeating North Alabama and reentered the poll.

In the media poll, No. 7 Bowie State and No. 8 Southern swapped places. BSU remains the only unbeaten team in HBCU football. Alabama A&M also reentered the poll at No. 10.

The BOXTOROW HBCU FCS coaches poll and media poll are administered by FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW.  The coaches poll, in its 11th year is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches and the media poll, in its 13th year, is voted on by media members around the country who cover HBCU football.
