Amassed 279 yards of total offense, completing 12-of-22 passes for 157 yards one touchdown and no interceptions and rushed for 122 yards on 13 carries in leading the Bison to a come-from-behind 32-31 victory over Mercyhurst. With Howard down 31-29 with just 41 seconds remaining, he gained 55 yards of total offense on the final drive, including rushing for 41 yards  to set the Bison up for a 37-yard made field goal as time expired.

Scroggings saw limited playing time the previous two years, playing behind Quinten Williams. Despite that, he earned MEAC All-Academic recognition last season.
