Completed 17-of-31 passes for 341 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions, and rushed for 26 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown as the Tigers won at Tuskegee 41-38. His 46-yard touchdown pass to Arsiah McCorker with no time on the clock won the game spoiled the homecoming of the almost 32,000 in attendance.
Russell has thrown for over 300 yards in each of the Tigers’ last three games and has thrown for 300 or more yards four times this season. He leads the SIAC in touchdown passes (15) and efficiency (152.7), and is second in passing yards (1,939) and passing yards per game (277.0). He is a transfer from Alcorn State.
