Compiled 431 yards of total offense and was responsible for four touchdowns in the Lions’ 30-27 victory over Winston-Salem State. He completed 23-of-38 passes for 278 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions including the game-winning eight-yard touchdown pass to Dah’mear Triplett with :15 remaining. He also rushed 21 times for 153 yards, averaged 7.3 yards per carry and one touchdown.
Freeman leads the CIAA in passing yards (1,169), passing yards per game (233.8), passing touchdowns (12), and total offense (278.6). He was last year’s CIAA Rookie of the Year.
