Recorded 11 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 1.5 tackles for loss as the Bears defeated nationally ranked Richmond 17-10. His fourth quarter sack-fumble, which was recovered by the Bears, led to the Bears’ go-ahead touchdown.

Hunter was a preseason All-MEAC second team selection. He recorded 77 tackles (52 solo), 6.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and four passes defended in 2022. Was part of the 400m relay Maryland State championship team in high school.
