West Virginia State guard/forward Anthony Pittman has once again been named HBCU National Player of the Week. He averaged 25.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and shot 50 percent from the field and 95 percent from the free throw line (20-of-21) in two games for the Yellow Jackets last week. He went out in style in his last regular season game as a Yellow Jacket and in his hometown of Charleston, W. Va. by scoring 36 points, grabbing a season high 17 rebounds, adding four steals and two blocks as the Yellow Jackets upset No. 10 Charleston (3/2). It was his fourth double double of the season.

Pittman is second in the Mountain East Conference in scoring (18.8), rebounding (7.8), and steals (2.3) is third in field goal percentage (.494), and ninth in free throw percentage (.821). He has scored 1,896 points in his career which is top 10 all-time in Yellow Jackets history.
