North Carolina Central and Florida A&M remain the Nos. 1 and 2 teams in HBCU football as BOXTOROW released the Coaches and Media Polls on Monday.

In the media poll, Jackson State’s loss to Alabama State created an opportunity for Tennessee State – and ASU –  to move into the No. 3 spot after its win over Norfolk State. The Tigers received one first place vote. No. 5 Alabama A&M made the most significant jump, up five spots from last week. ASU moved back into the poll at No. 9.

In the media poll. Benedict remains undefeated and is No. 3. No. 6 Tennessee State, No. 8 Fayetteville State both reentered the poll. No. 10 Allen enters the poll for the first time ever.

The HBCU FCS coaches and media polls are administered by BOXTOROW. The coaches poll, in its 15th year is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches and the media poll, in its 17th year, is voted on by media members around the country who cover HBCU football.
