BOXTOROW Polls: Alabama A&M No. 1 in HBCU football for second straight week

Just a handful of games were played in Week 6 of HBCU football and Alabama A&M remains the top team in both the BOXTOROW Coaches and Media Polls which were released on Monday. The Bulldogs are the top team in both polls for the second straight week and received 13 of 15 first place votes.

No. 8 Tennessee State jumping up one spot and Delaware state dropping from No. 8 to No. 9 was the only movement in the coaches poll. TSU defeated UT-Martin 26-24.

The positions in the media poll remained exactly the same with Alabama A&M receiving all but three first place votes.

Some pivotal matchups are scheduled to take place on Saturday as Alabama A&M will play at Prairie View A&M, Jackson State will host Southern, and Alabama State will host South Carolina State.

The BOXTOROW HBCU FCS coaches poll and media poll is administered by FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW. The coaches poll, in its 12th year is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches and the media poll, in its 14th year, is voted on by media members around the country who cover HBCU football.
