The Alabama A&M Bulldogs remain the No. 1 team in HBCU football as both the BOXTOROW Coaches and Media Polls were released on Monday. The Bulldogs defeated Bethune-Cookman 30-27 on Tuesday to remain undefeated on the season. AAMU received all but two first place votes with the coaches and all of the first place votes from the media.
Despite its first loss of the season to FBS opponent Louisiana-Monroe, Jackson State remained No. 2. There were shifts in both polls, but all of the teams remained the same from the previous week.
A few big games take place in Week 4 as No. 4/3 Arkansas-Pine Bluff hosts No. 9/9 Alcorn State in a nationally televised Thursday night tilt while No. 3/4 North Carolina A&T hosts No. 5/5North Carolina Central.
