Texas Southern guard PJ Henry is HBCU National Player of the Week. He averaged 18.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and shot 41 percent from three-point range on his way to being named SWAC Tournament MVP and helping lead the Tigers to the SWAC Tournament championship. In the championship game victory over Grambling (3/11), he scored 19 points, grabbed five rebounds and was 4-of-8 from three point range including two clutch three-pointers late.

This is Henry’s second year at TSU after transferring from Hartford. The Houston native is averaging 12.7 points per game, up more than four points from last year.
