He averaged 23.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, shot 63 percent from the field (15-24), and 62 percent (9-of-16) from three-point range for the Jaguars who went 2-0 last week. In the Jaguars’ 80-60 victory over Alcorn State (1/28), Whitley scored 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting and 7-of-12 from three point range. The Jaguars are now in sole possession of first place in the SWAC.
