HBCU D2 Poll Final:
- Virginia Union finished No. 1 for the first time in the poll’s three-year history
- The Panthers won the CIAA championship for the second year in a row and advanced to the NCAA Division II Playoffs quarterfinals
- The SIAC champion Miles Golden Bears, who won the SIAC championship finished at No. 2, their highest finish in the poll
- No. 4 Clark Atlanta, No. 6 Winston-Salem State, and No. 9 Livingstone finish in the top 10 for the first time ever
