HBCU D2 Coaches Poll: Benedict moves to No. 2 after win over Albany St.; VUU on top

Virginia Union received all but three first place votes and remains No. 1 in The HBCU Division II Coaches Poll powered by BOXTOROW.

No. 2 Benedict received the remaining first place votes and moved up a spot after its road victory over No. 4 Albany State, who dropped two spots this week. Benedict remains undefeated on the season and controls its own destiny towards the SIAC Eastern Division title.

No. 5 Fayetteville State also moved up a spot and controls its own destiny in the CIAA’s Southern Division. No. 9 Chowan, coming off a CIAA Northern Division win over Virginia State, enters the poll for the first time this year.
