HBCU D2 Coaches Poll: VUU, Albany State remain top two teams

Virginia Union defeated Livingstone to stay unbeaten and remains No. 1 in The HBCU Division II Coaches Poll powered by BOXTOROW. The Panthers received 19 first place votes. No. 2 Albany State received three first place votes.

Bowie State, who was No. 1 last week, fell to Saginaw Valley State and dropped to No. 3 in the poll. The Bulldogs still received two first place votes.

No. 3 Benedict and No. 4 Fort Valley State both won, also remain undefeated, and moved up one spot and two spots, respectively from last week. Fayetteville State rounds out the top five.

The Bowie State Bulldogs fell to Shaw and dropped four spots to No. 7, while Shaw reentered the poll this week at No. 9.
