Eaglin carried the ball 26 times for 148 yards, averaging 5.7 yards per carry and five touchdowns as the Bulldogs defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 52-24. His 17-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter put the Bulldogs ahead for good. He then rushed for four straight touchdowns of 18, 2, 3, and 3 yards.

Eaglin is third in the SWAC in rushing yards (669) and tied for third in rushing touchdowns (7). Last year he rushed for 765 yards and seven touchdowns. He began his college career at Michigan State in 2021.

Vaughn completed 13-of-18 passes for 171 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions and carried the ball 13 times for 130 yards and two touchdowns in helping lead the Braves to a 42-21 victory over Texas Southern. His touchdown pass in the first quarter went for 60 yards and tied the game at 7-7. His touchdown runs were from 4 and 39 yards.

Vaughn leads the SWAC in rushing touchdowns (11), is second in rushing yards (676), and is third in total offense (2,008). He played at Lincoln (Mo.) last year.
