Dawson Odums, excited about Norfolk State’s future, reflects on time at Southern

Dawson Odums is excited for his new challenge, the challenge of being the head football coach at Norfolk State. He leaves Southern after nine seasons where he compiled a 63-32 record, won a SWAC championship, four SWAC Western Division titles and produced some NFL players including BOXTOROW All-American defensive back Danny Johnson who is with the Washington Football Team. He was also 6-3 against Grambling in the Bayou Classic including the Jaguars 49-7 victory over the Tigers on April 17.
