I really miss those days, missing the band playing and all of that good stuff…
Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Grover Stewart on what he remembers most about his time at Albany State.
Grover Stewart has quietly become one of the better interior defensive linemen in the National Football League. The former fourth round draft pick in 2017 from Albany State signed a three-year extension with the Indianapolis Colts – the team that originally drafted him – in 2020 and he has lived up to the billing. He sits down with Donal Ware and talks about his time in Indy and how he has adapted to the city having been in Georgia all his life, the blocked field goal against the Broncos – the first of his football career – that helped propel the Colts to victory, his time at Albany State, his influence on the newer crop of HBCU players in the NFL, and about the chicken wing he has become semi-famous for.
