New North Carolina Central Athletics Director Dr. Louis “Skip” Perkins has been the athletics director at North Carolina Central since June 1, but is already starting to make an impact. The former All-American tennis player at NCCU talked about what it means to be the head of the athletics department at his alma mater, the future of NCCU in the MEAC, some of the first items he will tackle as athletics director, and his thoughts on NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) and the transfer portal.
