BOXTOROW third annual Countdown to Kickoff, part of #HBCU125

FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW will hold its third annual Countdown to Kickoff college football preview radio show Saturday, July 22 from 12-2 p.m. live from Jimmy V’s Osteria & Bar located in the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel, 420 Fayetteville St., in downtown Raleigh, NC.

The event will feature Shaw head coach Adrian Jones, Saint Augustine’s head coach Tim Chavous, North Carolina Central head coach Jerry Mack, Winston-Salem State head coach Kienus Boulware, Elizabeth City State head coach Earnest Wilson, Livingstone head coach Daryl Williams, and Johnson C. Smith head coach Kermit Blount and will be hosted by national radio host Donal Ware.

Everyone is invited to attend as the event is open to the public.  Fans of the schools are encouraged to dress in school colors and come out and show support for their respective school and coach.  Fans in attendance will also have an opportunity to ask the coaches questions as well as win prizes.

The event will air on WAUG-AM 750 which can be heard in the Triangle and can be heard around the world on TuneIn.com by typing in WAUG.

This event is part of BOXTOROW’s initiative #HBCU125 which is celebrating the first football game played between HBCUs when Biddle (now Johnson C. Smith University) and Livingstone played on December 27, 1892.

BOXTOROW as it is known airs on radio stations across the country including in the Triangle on WAUG-AM 750 Saturdays at 11 a.m. and on The Buzz 620-AM/99.3-FM/96.5-FM/99.9 HD2 also on Saturdays at 7 a.m.  The show also airs in North Carolina in Greensboro/Triad, Elizabeth City/Northeastern, NC as well as on SiriusXM.

All of the above mentioned coaches have all appeared as guests on the show over the almost 12 years BOXTOROW has been on the air.
