BOXTOROW Polls: It’s Unanimous, N.C. A&T remains HBCU football’s best

The North Carolina A&T Aggies earned a hard fought road win against Charleston Southern on Saturday and remained No.1 in the BOXTOROW Coaches and Media Polls for the third straight week. A&T is the unanimous choice in both polls.

In the coaches poll the top six spots remained the same despite losses by five teams as Bethune-Cookman, Alcorn State, Southern, South Carolina State and Prairie View A&M all are behind the Aggies. Southern was the only one of those team to win Saturday, defeating Edward Waters. No. 7 Alabama A&M re-enters the poll and No.10 Arkansas-Pine Bluff enters the poll for the first time since the 2013 season.

In the media poll, defending CIAA champion No. 8 Bowie State is off to a 2-0 start and enters the poll for the first time this season. Alabama A&M also re-entered the poll.

The BOXTOROW HBCU FCS coaches poll and media poll are administered by FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW.  The coaches poll, in its 11th year is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches and the media poll, in its 13th year, is voted on by media members around the country who cover HBCU football.
