Averaged 21 points, seven rebounds, two assists, while shooting 71 percent from the field and 94 percent from the free throw line in four games last week, helping to lead the Rush to its first GCAC Tournament championship since 1996. Loyd was named tournament MVP. In the victory over crosstown rival Dillard in the semifinal game, Loyd scored 31 points, grabbed 14 revounds, made 11-of-16 field goals and 9-of-9 free throws.

Loyd averages 15.9 points per game, leads GCAC in field goal percentage (.577), and is fourth in rebounds (7.6).
