Taylor carried the ball 25 times for for 159 yards, caught two passes for 38 yards and returned a kickoff 58 yards in the Panthers 36-17 victory over Hampton. Taylor registered 255 multi-purpose yards in the game.

Taylor played quarterback at Hopewell High School and orginally committed to play at Virginia Tech.
