BOXTOROW National Player of the Week: RJ Cole

6-1, Sophomore, Union, N.J.

Averaged 21 points, 4.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals in two victories for the Bison last week. In the victory over Savannah State, Cole scored 23 points, including making 5-of-10 three-pointers, registered five assists, three steals and six rebounds.

Cole is a former three-star recruit who played for the legendary Bob Hurley, Sr. at St. Anthony’s High School in Jersey City, NJ. In his junior season, Cole led St. Anthony’s to a record 28th New Jersey State championship. Cole committed to Howard as a junior and chose the Bison over many Division I programs including several Ivy League schools. Cole graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

Cole was named BOXTOROW All-America First Team and Rookie of the Year last year.
