Norfolk State Guard La’Deja James

Averaged 31.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.0 steals, and shot 59 percent from the field in two wins for the Spartans last week. With the victories, the Spartans remain tied for first place in the MEAC (Bethune-Cookman). Against North Carolina Central, James poured in a season high 36 points on 12-of-18 shooting, 4-of-6 from three-point range, nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

James played at South Georgia Tech for two seasons before transferring to NSU. Last season, she averaged 13.3 points and 2.3 steals per game. Currently, she’s tied for fourth in the MEAC in scoring (13.6).
