This could very well be a preview of the SWAC championship game. Grambling isn’t wowing with its numbers, but the bottom line is the Tigers are winning. They have won their last four games including a 34-21 victory over Prairie View A&M in the State Fair Classic in Dallas two weeks ago. GSU has a solid defense and offensively, quarterback DaVante Kincade is completing 58 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and one interception.
Meanwhile, Alcorn State has won its last four games. Quarterback Lenorris Football just two years ago was completing about 48 percent of his passes. This year he is completing 62 percent of his passes with nine touchdowns and four interceptions. He also has the ability to run the football having rushed for almost 500 yards. Running back Delance Turner has rushed for 788 yards, which leads FCS. The Braves defense is a work in progress.
This is a hard game to predict but the advantage would have to go to the G-Men because its homecoming in Grambling and they had the week off last week.
