Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King is having fun.
A lot of fun.
His dance moves after good punts has drawn praise from players and former players around the National Football League. He was even flagged for a 15-yard penalty on Sunday after a roughing the kicker penalty was called when a Bills player ran into him and he used the officials flag as a prop in his dance move.
Even with that, the former BOXTOROW All-American from Fort Valley State is one of the best punters in the league. Against the Bills he punted for an average of 44.2 yards on five punts with a net average of 40.2 yards and had two punts down inside the 20.
He is top five in the league net average (42.6) and punts down inside the 20 (27).
King appeared as a guest on BOXTOROW w/ Donal Ware this past weekend and talked about his journey from Macon, Ga. to being one of the game’s best punters as a member of the Oakland Raiders, Raider Nation, and the work he puts in to become the best punter of all-time.
