Media Poll Week 12

BOXTOROW Polls: North Carolina A&T continues to roll, remains No. 1

North Carolina A&T continues to show why it is one of the best teams in FCS.

After defeating Jacksonville State in last week’s FCS Kickoff, the Aggies defeated FBS opponent ECU 28-23 and is again a unanimous No. 1 in the BOXTOROW Coaches and Media Polls. The Aggies begin the season 2-0 for the third year in a row and are ranked No. 5 in FCS.

In the coaches poll, Tennessee State and Prairie View A&M made the most significant jumps, the Tigers moving up four spots to No. 8 this week, while the Panthers also moved up four spots to No. 5. TSU defeated Bethune-Cookman 34-3 at home in the John Merritt Classic and PV defeated North Carolina Central 40-24 in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Atlanta.

There were similarities in the media poll for Tennessee State and Prairie View A&M as the Panthers moved up from No. 9 last week to No. 4 this week and  the Tigers went from not being ranked last week to No. 5 this week.

The BOXTOROW HBCU FCS coaches poll and the media poll is administered by FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW.  The coaches poll is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches and the media poll is voted on by media members around the country who cover HBCU football.
