FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW celebrated eight years on the air this past Tuesday.

In the eight years that the show has been on the air, there have been many changes. The one thing that has remained constant is the caliber of interviewees.

The interviewees don’t get much bigger than Janelle Monae.

Host Donal Ware had the opportunity to sit down with Ms. Monae in person last Thursday in Raleigh, NC to talk with her about her upcoming album Electric Lady as well as her career. That interview will air on Boxtorow Lunch w/ Donal Ware, an offspring of FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW, which airs on SiriusXM Channel 141 HUR Voices. The show and interview will air this Friday 1-2p ET/12-1p CT/10-11a PT on SiriusXM Channel 141 and will be replayed Tuesday 8-9 a.m. ET/7-8 a.m. CT/6-7 a.m. MT/5-6 a.m. PT.

“I feel this was one of the best interviews we will have had on the show,” said Ware. “Janelle is very insightful and beyond her years. She really knows music and it was a pleasure to have spoken with her.”

Over the years guests such as Aretha Franklin, Ice Cube, Faith Evans, Common, Rakim, Charlie Wilson, and Malanie Fiona to name a very few have been some of the musical guests that have appeared on Boxtorow.
