BOXTOROW, a subsidiary of DWCommunications, LLC, will kick off the 2017 HBCU football season with its #HBCU125.
BOXTOROW will celebrate 125 years of HBCU football beginning with its first ever BOXTOROW w/ Donal Ware HBCU Football Podcast.
Known as the voice of HBCU Sports, Ware will preview all 50 HBCU football programs in an 8-10 minute daily podcast, leading up to the kickoff of the HBCU football season, when Florida A&M and Texas Southern meet on August 26. The podcasts will air beginning Monday, June 19.
This season will mark 125 years since Livingstone College and Biddle College (now Johnson C. Smith) met in the first football game between HBCUs, December 27, 1892 in Salisbury, NC. Biddle prevailed in that game 5-0.
The podcasts will air on the official Website of the national sports talk show FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW, boxtorow.com
In the coming weeks as part of BOXTOROW’s #HBCU125, BOXTOROW will rank the 125 most influential HBCU football players and coaches of all-time. BOXTOROW will also host its 3rd annual Countdown to Kickoff on Saturday, July 22 from 12-2 p.m. ET at Jimmy V’s, located at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel in downtown Raleigh, NC. The countdown will consist of a live radio show hosted by Ware and guests of the show will be head football coaches of HBCUs.

About BOXTOROW
BOXTOROW is a media company with a national reach. The BOXTOROW name derived from the national sports talk show FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW which currently airs on radio stations all across the country as well as on Satellite Radio on SiriusXM. FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW began airing on August 20, 2005 on just five radio stations. While the show gives listeners a personal and intimate perspective through interviews with some of the top sports, entertainment and sometimes political figures of the day, and through talking about some of the hot button topics of the day, at the heart of BOXTOROW is its coverage of HBCU sports.
