Recorded a season-high nine receptions for a season-high 183 yards, averaging 20.3 yards per reception and a touchdown as the Golden Lions defeated Prairie View A&M 21-17. His 59-yard touchdown reception was the first score of the game for the Golden Lions. On the Golden Lions’ final scoring drive (which happened in the second quarter), he caught three passes for 40 yards.

Gibson leads FCS in receiving yards (758), yards per reception (24.5), receiving yards per game (126.3), and is tied for the lead in the SWAC and tied for seventh in FCS in touchdown receptions (6).
