Finished with 231 multi-purpose yards, including 211 yards rushing on 14 carries and three touchdowns, averaged 15.1 yards per carry, and caught a pass for 20 yards as the Panthers defeated Kentucky State 69-7. Byers had touchdown runs of 46, eight, and 67 yards.

Byers is a two-time HBCU All-American and his 211 yards rushing on Saturday marked the eighth time he has rushed for 200 or more yards in a game in his career.
