Langston QB Torrence Bardell

Completed 20-of-39 passes for 465 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions as the Lions came from behind to defeat Oklahoma Panhandle State 35-31. Trailing 31-14 in the third quarter, Bardell threw touchdown passes on two of the last three Lions’ possessions as LU scored 21 unanswered points. His 10-yard touchdown pass to Ivory Wright early in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner. Bardell also rushed for 33 yards.
Bardell leads the Sooner Athletic Conference in total offense (320.0) and is third in passing yards (1,363) and tied for third in passing touchdowns (11). He played at Bonnabel High School where he set the school record for passing yards in a season, total yards in a season, total passing yards in a career, and touchdowns in a season and career. He transferred to Langston from Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
