Averaged 20.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals, and shot 39 percent from three-point range in helping lead the Spartans to a 3-0 record last week and the MEAC Tournament championship. In the semifinal game versus Coppin State (3/15), she scored 30 points, matched a season high in rebounds (11), had three steals, shot 49 percent from the field and 55 percent from three-point range.
Johnson is in her first season in the Spartans’ program after playing two seasons at North Carolina State where she was named ACC Sixth Person of the Year during the 2021-22 season and helped lead the Wolfpack to the ACC regular season and tournament championship and to the Elite 8. The next season she was named second team All-ACC and led the Wolfpack in scoring (12.3). She leads the MEAC in points per game (20.3), three-point field goal percentage (.403), free throw percentage (.839), steals (3.4), is eighth in steals (64), and averages 5.4 rebounds per game. She was named MEAC Tournament MVP.
